ROKTOWA’s Mission: Plant Artists to Create Growth. Housed in the original Red Stripe brewery it has seen many artists in residence and exhibitions to date. This new residency programme attempts to continue the development of the collective and expand the artistic growth of all those involved. Our program accelerates the propagation of global perspectives on art and the environment here in Jamaica while imparting unique Caribbean perspectives to the international artists that come to work with us. As the global dialog on the Caribbean turns a generational corner and new modes of thought on the region make their way forward, ROKTOWA is positioning itself to take an active role in the current dialog.
